Help How do I get rid of 2.2?

2.2 is SUCKING! Phone lags with every action and it drains the life out of my battery. Apps that never ran are running no matter how many times I foreclose or kill with ATK.

Like a lot of the other features, but I can barely get half a day out of the phone, whereas before 2.2, I could go almost 2 days with GPS, Wifi and bazillion other apps running or being used.

If I knew how to go back to the other system(??) then I would try a reinstall of 2.2 before giving up.

You need to flash the rom with either DI01 or DI09 with odin to go back to stock.

I agree, 2.2 is 'sucking' more then it is not! This is what I thought the delay was, they couldn't get it to work 'better' and that's why there was such a long long long long long long delay with it's release. Glad for the flash a couple other things, but there are A LOT of other things that are just not worth it. Where's 2.3???????

I posted this on another Thread but I wanted to share here too.....Us Not very Tech Savy phone owners need help guys !!!! Help us out here !!

Ok so its official - Battery drain is REALLY BAD after the update. Both on my phone and my wifes.

I dont ever use my phone for anything - to be honest its a waste of money for me to have it...but I got it because of the buy one get one deal...anyway - I only text message my wife a few times a day and call her for 15 minutes on the way home from work. With 2.1 - if I used 1/8 of battery for the whole day it was on - I was lucky. Now after 2.2 - I use it exactly the same - and the battery is down to 1/2 when I get home. Thats 3 times more battery by only downloading 2.2 - I dont have very many apps(only Angry Birds) and I dont use any of them during work - I dont even use the live wall paper. So WTF ???

Now - On my wifes phone its much worse because she uses hers to go on to the internet during lunch - she usually goes on for 20 to 40 mins - with 2.1 - she would get home with about 1/3 to 1/4 battery left....now today with the exact same usage - her phone went into Safe Mode (never seen that before) - the battery was juiced by 3pm.....WTF ??

You guys to help a not very phone literate guy out on how to fix this....if I have to 'factory reset' - I read the directions on the above post and its seems very detailed.....not sure I will be able to handle it...but I need to do something for her phone at least.....I was perfectly happy with 2.1

I am pretty tech savy and bricked my phone trying to flash the ROM to factory settings from the SS website after the 2.2 failed. SS, not VZW, sent me a new phone 3 days ago. Battery sucked before 2.2 and I agree is now worse.

I would suggest taking it to a good VZW store and find a good tech (there are a few) and see what they can do- might be worth a shot- I an thinkng about it for battery life- I am due for an upgrade june 2012 and I WILL be going to an iPhone- I am tired of this crap. Even before 2.2, my phone would be flashing red in a 3pm meeting having removed it from the charger at 6:30am-

I warned everyone on the Verizon Droid community about why it was taking so long to release Froyo but they didn't listen instead Verizon banned me from the forums and support and I was sticking up for Verizon and just knocking Samsung

this phone now sucks...I got in in Dec and if the worked like it did now I would have returned it in 3 days...I am going to a verizon store and demand a different phone...Verizon gives you 30 days to exchange a phone if you dont like it, well what gives them the right to change how my phone operates??? If they wanna give me an update they should have a return back to 2.1 option on the update...This phone isnt even usable, the battery dies in half a day...a few phone calls and I check a few scores online of the basketball games...
