Help Phone restarting by it self and freezing.

Does anyone in here have the same problem as many users on XDA has, with the phone:

1. Restarting when charghing
2. Restarting when screen is idle
3. Phone freezing (black screen, where battery needs to be removed, and phone turned on again)

Many users have a combination of these problems, some are almost not affected with 1 restart pr. week, others report 20-30 restarts pr. day in periods.

You typically detect that your phone has restarted when you unlock the screen and are asked to type your PIN number again.

On XDA the users seems to get roughly the same answer fra LG Support:

"We are not aware of such a problem, return unit to the seller for a new phone"

I'v had the phone for about 7 days.
I haven't frozen any apps.
1 day no root, 1 reboot - not while charging

Then root(still stock ROM form LG), and since then it has rebooted about 2-3 times, not while charging, but in my pocket while idle.

The phone has frozen (with black screen/unresponsive) 2-3 times, but after a while, it has snapped out of it without removing the battery. It happened while carrying it in my pocket with the screen locked (noticed the sound when coming back to life)

All of the times it has frozen was while i was installing/uninstalling/copied files from internal>external (or vice verse) and stuff. On my phone it seems to be related to stress on the processor, i imagine.

My phone (root):LG-P990
Android: 2.2.2
Baseband: 1035.21_20110306
Kernel: 2.6.32.9
Build:FRG83G
LGE-Version: LGP990-V10b
Operator: Telmore(Denmark), but no branding

I have returned my phone, and have recieved an email that a new device has been sent to me, i hope it gets here tomorrow!

Yep, I have had mine for 2 days now and it has rebooted on me randomly a few times. When it is charging it will freeze and I have to pull the battery to restart it. This even happened when I was on the road with my GPS on and my phone plugged into the car charger...You can imagine how annoyed I was when I was almost to my destination but at the last second I had to pull off the freeway, pull the battery, put in the address again, and get back on the freeway

How is it possible that LG doesn't know about this? So many people are having this problem. LG, DO YOU NOT TEST YOUR PRODUCTS!? ARE YOU JUST AS BAD AS SAMSUNG? RELEASING JUNK AND SAYING "OOPS! DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS DOING THAT, DRRRRR!!!!"

Whatever the support people might say, they know very much about the problem. A norwegian mobile news site had a couple articles about it and managed to get a statement from some top guy in LG Denmark stating that they were aware of the problem and would most likely have a fix ready shortly after easter (any moment now, in other words).

Ok got my device yesterday afternoon and have played with it non-stop ever since. I will report two times when my phone seemed to freeze up while in the browser (I've downloaded 'Dolphin Browser HD'). It was unresponsive for about 4 - 6 seconds, then snapped out of it and went about its speedy business!

I'll also admit that both of those freeze-ups came when the phone was down below 5 percent battery life left and I was trying to kill it off so that I could fully charge it again. That might have had something to do with it. If I experience any other such episodes I will report them.

Full discharge does no good to lithium batteries. Or NiMH batteries. Full discharge is death itself to lead acid batteries. Only NiCad batteries benefit from full discharge/recharge cycles.
