Help Kies Error on Updating Firmware

Hey all, this is my first post and I recently bought Galaxy 3 but facing a error while upgrading it to Android 2.2. I have the latest version of Kies but whenever I click upgradion and it starts upgradion then there is an error of "Firmware update has stopped working". I am really frustrated of this error as it seems I can't update to Android 2.2.

Help would be gladly appreciated.
