Oh man. This is comical haha. I was bummed to see that someone said the ported # ends sometime in July :/. They extended it once didn't they? I thought it was supposed to end the first time in May and then they extended it again? HOpefully they will make it end after July 21st.

Seriously what is up with radio shack? Didn't we get one leak from an email stating rough June 4th, then a leak with a price, now an ad that is dated for June 5th about a pre sale. It's known that ads are printed way ahead of time, so I got to assume the email would be the most recent news.

Or it could be that these are all fakes and some loser is laughing about it.

Yea... it was supposed to end a while ago. But, they extended it... it now runs till 6/23/2011. Not sure if they will extend it again.

This can go either way. They have pushed a few "new" phones to Sprint, specifically the Nexus S 4G. My feeling is they are trying to breath life into a phone that had been out on another carrier for months before Sprint got it (in other words give people reason to pick one up rather than wait a month or two for the 3D and beyond). Just a hunch, though. Would be awesome if they kept it for the 3D launch as well. That would boost 3D sales, no doubt!

Then factor in the 100.00 trade in and we are at 99.99 then add in the 50.00 pre order gift certificate you purchased and day of purchase you should be at 49.99 plus tax out of pocket.

Hmm Only places I heard of the trade in was Radio Shack and then online with Sprint it is currently at 150.00 trade in. Best BUy would probably offer the least but then again I just haven't come across anything that says they are doing the 100.00 trade in. Have you?

So I got some interesting info from Radio Shack yesterday. They will give up to $179.99 for a EVO trade-in, if it's in great condition. The LEAST you can get is $100. I took my phone in yesterday to pre-order and so far, unless I damage it before release, I will be getting $179 for my used EVO.

If you were due for it on 6/11 amd it got taken away cause of the April change thing they are giving it to people one time and then your back to ever 2 years. Is RS really giving 179 for the EVO? I got 150 from Sprint on Sunday. But I was really counting on the EVO being out June 4th.

Yep, $75 off of full retail only and thats it!!! But keep trying and remember it pays to be polite.

EDIT: I was in the same situation as well, I been getting yearly upgrades for a few years now up until they made the change to their premier program on April 1st which put me at premier silver. Before that date my yearly upgrade would have been June 1st 2011 but after April 1st it went to June 1st 2012. I got my upgrade reinstated so its now back to June 1st 2011. I will be a 10 year vet come january anyway so I wouldn't have to worry about this anymore.

I will be with Sprint for 10 years come April 2012. I called up Sprint recently and spoke with customer service, didn't need a manager or retentions. They reinstated my 1 year eligibility for my main line effective 6/1/11.

Very easy, just be kind to them and they will take care of you.

my upgrade wasn't until October and got them make me eligible now. I talked to retentions, just read this thread

Tell them you were looking at the 3D and upset they changed your status and the Sprint store gave you this #. It worked for me and tons other over at XDA. I didn't get this #, but was given by a poster (Thanks DJBLUE11) to go to XDA and get it, but I thought I would share it here.

Yeah they've been pretty cool about changing people. I was told if you were due back in June when you got the EVO there not going to take it away from you and give it back to you one time only. I called the Sprint store and mine is showing up on my account they said. I want to rebuy the EVO since I sold mine back to Sprint thinking the 3D would be out sooner. I can use my upgrade and return in 30 days. But if the 3D was to get delayed again like the Thunderbolt was and it goes past my 30 days I'm screwed. I am lost without my EVO.

Just for everyone's information.. To achieve premiere gold status it is pretty easy: Pay your bill on time, every time. If you pay your bill for 12 consecutive months on time and in full, you get premiere gold. I have been with sprint over 10 years and have been premiere since they started this. If you miss a month it may not boot you out, but this is a pretty great plan. Pay your bill on time for free upgrades? Yeah, as someone said, Sprint is a great company.

RS guy told me today that the new minimum for premiere gold is a plan that is $89.99+ a month... OR be with sprint for 10+ years. If I were with sprint say 7 and got booted to silver i'd def call sprint and complain. Sprint always makes it right.. even in the early days when sprint CS was the worst in the business (does anyone remember 2002, 2003?), retention made me offers I simply couldn't refuse.

It's also changed so that you have to meet a minimum monthly payment requirement to be premiere gold.

I space paying my bill when I'm traveling or busy all the time. They don't have to like it, but they know I've been with them long enough that I'm always good for it, so they let it slide.

I'm actually Gold with two lines, but let my wife use the full upgrade we had waiting on the main line. Called this number and they let me do the manual override and get the full upgrade on the second line, even though that next full upgrade wasn't supposed to be for months. I don't even have an EVO -- I'm still living with my Samsung Moment. I don't know what this number is, but it's magic!

(I thought I'd have to wait so long I could choose between the 3VO, SGS2, and Photon, but I'm pretty desperate to get rid of my Moment, so I may take the plunge as soon as the 3VO's out. Probably the safest bet anyway!)

so can someone just confirm... im about to take over my friend's sero plan that is out of contract and has $150 upgrade credit. i'm switching over from AT&T so i'm not sure how their upgrades work.

Its rumored to be $199 with 2 year contract but the price is $499. With the upgrade credit, is it going to be $350? (I'm assuming you still have to sign 2 years when you use the credit) or is there anyway to get the $199 price? Thanks!
