PROBLEM with my galaxy s 4g

i bought the phone in june and got it with simple mobile. the phone was great until a few days ago it started saying i had no service. at first i thought the bill was just due so i paid the bill and it still didn't work. then i thought it was the simcard but i put my moms simcard in and it didn't work.

Any ideas and troubleshooting methods

Does the wifi work? Can you use apps that are stored on the card that need no web - like read a book?
If nothing works - the whole thing might be buggered.
If those work - I'd take it to a store and have them check out the SIM card.

I can use my Galaxy 3 on wifi with no SIM. I can use Skype.

wifi n everything works it's jus the service.... i've tried multiple sim cards but none of them work

Then I'd take it to a store and have them check the SIM card slot.
It could be Simple Mobile's TOS. You might need a different plan to get it to work for data. Does voice work? If it does, then it's probably the plan. TMO will do that if you don't have the correct plan.

none of that works it just keeps saying that i have no service, and i have tried multiple sim cards and they all say the same thing

Then you have to go back to the store - the phone could have crapped out. Some have had problems with this phone.

You still might need a different data plan. Some carriers have data for regular phones and a different/higher rate for data on a smartphone.

I had to get an Android plan when I got the Samsung Galaxy 3. The same plan did apply with the SGS4G.

If none of the plans on those sim cards deal with the data service you need, it won't turn on.

i have simple mobiles $60 unlimited everything plan

Then you need to take the phone to a store. If you read this forum, you will see some have had problems. TMO SGS4G forum also had complaints.
