Wow! I guess this is what happens when I don't check the forums in a couple days. GREAT Job Jerry (and anyone else who helped)! I am downloading the ROM as we speak, and I cannot wait to test it! From what I've heard this is a great rom! I will definitely test it extensively and give you any reports, and bugs, or anything I find with it. Thumbs up to you!

This ROM is awesome! Disabling data throughout the day (and turning it on every couple of hours to check email or reddit) and I'm currently at 15h46m with 42% battery left. Much better than my previous ROM.

Blarfie, the kernel dev, is taking the weekend off. Please test over the weekend and post any bugs you may find so we can get to work on them next week.

note- I just added a link to a Theme Changer compatible version of the Green Machine theme, so you can try it out, and switch back if you don't like it without flashing anything.

ehhh not really feeling it. exactly the same as the cyanogenmod 7.1 for the optimus v to me. real slow and laggy when starts up. good work though.

so far I'm digging this rom except I can't charge my phone while I'm using it and when its off.. the only real way I can charge it is if I leave it aline .. when I connecte my phone 2 the charger while its on and turn the phone off it just turns on .. on its own .. other then that its an awesome rom. thank u

yeah thats how all of the cyanogenmods are. including aosp.

LOL, that's the whole point, this is CM7 working branch, not the stable release branch. We are keeping this as close to CM7 source as possible till all the bugs are worked out, then I will begin making changes to suit the community.

Thanks for the compliments on the work, Blarf is a good dev and deserves all the credit! I just compile and theme his repo till all is stable.

BTW- the repo is open source, anyone is welcome to compile it and create your own ROM!

I agree Nascar2428, I like the whole open source thing and what it represents... allowing great minds (Jerry, Blarfie and the like) to create a great ROM even when it's a WIP.
I would love to learn and build my own ROM. If I don't get back to work soon and wife permitting (honey-do list), I might start researching on it. Or at least getting in the kitchen to cook something up!!

Edit: Very Snappy and more responsive than my previous roms. I'm glad i got my optimus around the time this ROM was created! Is the dial for the battery part of the green machine theme or is there a different way to get it?

Once the major functions are stable, I'll probably release a slimmed down version. For now, it's kinda risky making changes to commits before you even know if they work for everyone. That and Blarf wants to keep this build as close to CM7 source as possible.

I agree, and thanks! I really hope to see a bunch of ROMs developed from Blarf's repository. It's only been out a few weeks now, and already we have ROMs for the Optimus V and Optimus S, and new kernels for both as well. There are commits being made to support the M and C models as well, hopefully Blarf will have a repository with branches for every one of the Optimus line.

I just flashed this ROM and i couldn't be happier! But i also just bought grooveIP and it doesn't seem to be working ( keeps disconnecting right after I answer the call or the other person ansers my call). I was just wondering if this is an isolated issue or if anyone else is having trouble with groove IP on this ROM.

You are not alone, I am checking into the GrooveIP issue, and have reached out to their dev to see what's going on.

Has anyone else tried running netflix with this ROM? I have tried running 1.3(havent really noticed the audio sync issue that much) and when I click on a movie or show to watch it goes to load and then go back to the main netflix screen

Edit: i am testing 1.2.2 to see if it is the 1.3 version or something else
Edit #2: Just installed 1.2.2 and tested with the first thing that popped and it worked! Must have just been the 1.3 version.

For anyone that has this ROM and wants netflix just download 1.2.2 from the post in the general section of the optimus V forum. It works perfectly and without a green bar!!

i dont even think there is an official release for the optimus v yet. i tried searching it in the market and, no luck.

there is a posting in the general section of this phones forums with a link to install netflix. 1.2.2 has a green bar at the top and 1.3 has no green bar but has a known audio sync issue

Netflix 1.2.2 doesn't have the green bar on CM7 ROMs like this one.
