Chivalry!! It is definitely dead....I hate seeing people step on other people so that they can get ahead >.<

Your spoken word used to mean something back in medieval times, but now pure honesty is a rarity. I hate being lied to, its insulting and aggrivating. Especially when you KNOW they're lying, call them out on it and the proceed to create a "chain-o-lies" to prove the initial one....rawr!!

Blame parental upbringing for that one. After all kids learn 90% of habits from home

Sneakers, sports shoes or whatever you call them! They no long put eyelets in for the laces. The laces are so damn thick that you can't even pull them. I have an exceptionally high arch, and couldn't pull the shoe laces loose easily enough to try the stupid shoes on. Even shoes that would be 2 sizes too big. Which also means there might not even be enough lace to tie afterwards once the shoes are adjusted for high arch!
At least Teva and Saloman still use a lace system that you CAN adjust.

Try Keds. Long been a favorite of mine; remember the Red Ball Keds?

Anyway, you can buy Keds with eyelets.

I've been working on homework for my data recovery class, and right as I finish the second file (which takes about an hour each) the program froze. I apparently had it set to 'virtual' save mode, so the changes are not finalized until you close the program. I lost everything.

So sad... :'(

I hear ya. :(

Although it is a bit ironic that it was a data recovery class, don't you think. :p

The Phandroid app. I love being able to see what's going on but the consumption of battery SUCKS DONKEY NUGGETS!!!!!!

No matter how it is configured the f@$$_;## news part always always always starts up and pulls battery/cpu. I know the dev is busy but it's not like the app only has a few people using it..... It's a known problem and the fact that it can't/won't/hasn't been fixed is mind boggling.
PLEASE FIX IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Georgia.

Congrats on executing a man where there was a lot of doubt whether or not he actually was truly guilty and where 7/9 of witness testimony against him in the trial were later recanted and several witnesses stated that they were pressured by the police to justify against him.

The case of Troy Davis will be another permanent blemish of why we should not allow the government to play with human life.

I find that when I'm done using the app, if i go thru settings and force close it, it stops whatever is running in the background. (this is why ADW Ex is a must have for me-longpress the phandroid icon, select manage, force close and I'm done.)

But, yeah, if i didn't have to do that all the time, that would be awesome :)

Damned microwave ovens that can't mind their own business. I just canned one that had to keep beeping every two minutes after the food was done.
It wouldn't shut up until you opened the door. It's none of the oven's damn business what I do with the food. I'm the human and expect to make that decision myself.

No way of turning the beep off unless you find the speaker and cut the wire.:D

Or . . .

Open the door and safe a few dollars on solder, tape and other stuff you will need to use your oven the next time.

I despise people that hate the beep because it adds so very much to our lives. Without beeps, life would be impossible.

Embrace the beep, my friend. E M B R A C E I T!

I just found out if you own a WiFi enabled microwave oven, there is an app for that. You need to DL it from the Android App Store, enter your oven's IP address , and then you can turn off the beep. Sadly, the app is free but the iBeepOff module is .99

Hell, no. I hate things that squawk at me (except the cockatiels). I automatically toss all the windows sounds, and always have. My computers make no noise. I've turned off all the traditional noises on the phone and substituted my own ringtones.

As to opening the oven door - if another family member uses the oven and walks off, then I have to stop what I'm doing to go open the door. We have an open plan type house and you can hear that bugger all over.

I bought a cheap MW like they use in motels. That only beeps when done. The more expensive one is sitting down in the basement as a spare. I'm not buying another MW just for an app.

People who fail to notice a fully lit recumbent bike rider making a sandwich run at 7:45 PM grind my gears. I was hungry and was testing out a new light kit I had installed. The guy in the Corvette didn't see me for some reason even though my bike sits fairly high. I was nearly killed.

We all need to watch more carefully. That said, there is no shortage of bicycle riders just asking to get hit because they ride like drunken fools.
