Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

You definitely are seeing the battery drain issue as well.

I'll keep everyone posted as I work with the dev to try and fix this. Wish I could do adb stuff at work to send him stuff he needs right away, but guess I can do that tonight.

Do you think it could possibly be Light Flow related? Would it keep the OS awake to check for notifications to trigger the lights?

That is very weird. The guy charged me $37 for it in the store! I'm going to call CS today and hopefully return or get a refund on Tuesday. That's the next time I'll be able to get in there.

Everyone that I was in line with were asking about the half-price extended batteries but the VZW peeps weren't allowing it (said it wasn't coming up in the computer so they couldn't). That's the main reason I didn't pick one up yesterday.

Further 4.0.3 details from The Verge:

Android 4.0.3 includes bug fixes and new APIs, dubbed 'base version' of ICS | The Verge

"Google is calling this the "base version" of Ice Cream Sandwich that third parties will be pushing out on "production phones and tablets in the weeks ahead," so now developers have a nice juicy target to hit when Ice Cream Sandwich spreads beyond the Galaxy Nexus."

Hopefully this means that all the early issues that have cropped up will be fixed. :)

People over at XDA uninstalled Light Flow and saw the same battery drain. Not 100% sure.

Really don't know what to think at this point, but hopefully can shed some light with this dev tonight and some kernel work.

Maybe 4.0.3 will help?

The Nexus doesn't support USB Mass Transfer since it doesn't have an SD card.

That's not the reason -- Phones w/o an SD card can support USB Mass Storage. The reason the Nexus can't is because they combined the user and system partitions into one big one (so less space is reserved/wasted), so the USB Mass Storage facility can no longer grant exclusive low-level access to the user partition by a connected PC or Mac.

People are saying keep awake might be Light Flow issues.

That sounds, uh, uncomfortable.

Meh, its a relevant expression at times like I'm having right now (trying to pass a kidney stone )

Oh no, hope it's over quick. Feel better jruther2!

So 22% for Android OS is normal?

Here's my Rezound usage after a morning of extended newsfeed reading, showing only about 2% usage by Android OS:

I need my volume higher on my nexus. What is the best app to guve my ringer & notification sounds a boost?

Thanks in advance
:D

First try to use your integrated equalizer/sound effects it helped mine (fx booster). If not then Volume+ has worked with mixed results for many. Thirdly get the Zedge app, they have thousands of sounds many of which are much louder than stock ICS sounds. The stock ICS sounds are very low volume
