Guys, im running v3.5 with hotfix 2 and i cant seem to get s2e to work. i cant even get a read on sd-ext

may be that mount script is conflicting with s2e


can you uncheck the option in s2e to mount ext4 and then reboot phone

I am getting some weird results after fixing permissions now too


i am not too sure what is going on, but I am looking into it

im good there but when i installed s2e it works but then my settings in menu wont save when i leave the menu. like if i enable the keypad sound and back out the menu it doesn't save

I am sorry about having to do that, I know it is a pain to have to reinstall your apps or restore them, but that is what beta testing is about

I really appreciate all you guys / gals who are helping me with this and testing, and putting your phone at risk

I feel we are getting pretty close to having a non beta, stable release, and I would have not been able to get to that point with out your help

nope nothing worked. havent been able to use it in any of your previous versions of cm7. i also get an error formatting my sd-ext in cwm

dude s2e works but when you try to save settings on the phone in any menu it doesn't save. thats the main issue

All i used was cwm, should i format as ext4 in mintfree or easeus partition programs

but in s2e I only select Applications and Private apps

for the record a2sd beta 4 dosent work with this version when you try to enable wireless settings it just freezes up and then says error

what size / class is your sd card

what size partiton did you choose when you partitioned it, i would backup up your important data on it, and try partitioning it again in CWM

I would not make any bigger than 1 GB

I do have a cheap 32gb class 4 from china partitioned from cwm as ext 1024mb and 0mb swap

class 4, umm that a little slow

I am not saying that is your problem, but stilll

if you cant format the ext in CWM there is an issue

backup important stuff

use mini tool to delete all partitions on it

then partition in CWM

then format sd-ext in CWM

you should consider a faster card too

I have not messed around with the whole apps2sd s2e link2sd too much

i am gonna just use the 2 options and see how it works for me

i think it is better that data gets read from multiple sources, (more throughput)

but I am not an expert on these things

Pulled out my card right now and its actually a class 6. Will try your suggestion tomorrow. I just have to remember to back up my apps on the sd

nothing much, i set the dalvik cahe to 16 worked best for me, disabled surface dithering, sd cache script, changed the launcher and tried to make your port as light as possible i believe the zip now is 69.6 MB
