Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Morning all. Off from work today -- flying out to Arizona at 630PM tonight. Really stoked to get out there.

Still running gummyNex 0.2.3 as I don't wanna mess with anything before my flight as to not mess anything up but I will probably go to 0.2.6 or whatever version he is up to when I get back next week. I also need to install the search key mod so I don't miss it when I install Nova Launcher as well.

Does anyone have a search key mod that works under 4.0.3 that they can link to? Thanks.

Good morning everyone!

Just got into the office, BB, I'll check your new wallpapers asap!

Thanks!!!

Did you like what I did to TronVader? I can put him back to the way he was if you don't. (He looked kinda funny sitting in the middle of the screen with no lower body though which is why he has pants now).

Exchange was a frustrating 4 days for me. Code boys are working on it.

I migrated from a berry, and ended up downloading Touchdown as a temporary fix. I had to leave Active Sync and Exchange 2007 unchecked, as it wouldn't hook up to Touchdown with all 3 checked, as they suggested. It's running well enough, I should be able to wait for a software fix for native mail.

I also an working on battery issues, did most of the usual items, but left wi fi on.

battery came back much better now, but I camp out on Wifi at home so it's not a fair comparison to when I'm out in the woods.

Will probably flip back on 4g, to see if it's a real hog then tweak settings one a day, to check it out.

It also mysteriously switches to Silent mode, if you reboot, or lose power then recharge it, so watch for that or you'll miss calls from angry wife holding your christmas present in her hands.
So far 7/10 in my book, but since I'm a noob, I have to learn the system.

I am on my second phone, so I don't believe it's hardware, as the first one had the same issue.

Code link is here. Make sure and click the star to the left of the problem so you notify the dev folks we need it ironed out.

Well, I'm still up in Canada so have not had a chance to pick up my GN. But I live vicariously through all you loungers in the "Official Post-Release BB Watering Hole." I guess you are my guinea pigs while VZW tinkers with how to display bars

Here's a question. Are any of you on Exchange for e-mail? How is the native ICS Exchange app? Does it work better than Froyo? I am still on my DX and had to bail on the native email app in favor of Touchdown. Still, Touchdown is not as robust as the BB email - that's Blackberry, not Baby Blues ;)

I miss tapping and holding a sender's name or subject to automatically search all emails from that sender or subject.

Do you notice any improvements in email with ICS?

And those of you with "reception" issues, has it affected your email performance? I live and die by email these days, so email functionality is critical for me.

Thanks for your feedback!

Hope you all have a great holiday with friends/family.

Pretty chilly up here. Golf course and lakes are frozen over:
