Help How do I turn on auto correct???

So I love my Epic 4g Touch. Wouldn't trade it for any phone on the market today, but there is a very small thing I don't know how to do. I want my phone to autocorrect. It gives me options as a type words out, but I want it to "fix" the misspelled words without me clicking something. Is this possible? All of my previous android phones (and the iphone 4s I traded for this phone and cash) have done this.

Any thoughts? Maybe I'm missing something simple.

Try this...go to messaging, open up a previous thread or start a new text, tap on the text entry field to open up the keyboard, then tap the settings key (it's in the bottom row of keys on the left under the up arrow). From there tap "word suggestion" and check all three boxes.
