Root (MOD) 108 Triumph & Hollyname B.P Tweaks (4.28.2012) Two Sweet

Im trying to brake Google voice control now but with little success. Usually good at breaking software as it is what I do for a living. I had an issue yesterday why driving but then later forgot it had happened until reading your post. Ill keep trying threw out the day and see if I cant figure out the cause.

Edit: Any chance you may have not had data or avery poor data at the time? Voice control will only work when connected with Googles servers. Thought I had finally broke it but then read about how it works and needing to be able to connect with google servers so I moved to an area of my house that gets a better signal and it worked. Still if I return to my bedroom with wifi off it seems to brake every time without fail. Funny how I had never noticed this before. May or may not be your issue as in both areas AI Keyboard was still working, just not Voice.

I had wifi enabled when it stopped working. My Google VC never works when I drive. J shouldn't be using it when I drive anyway lol

Im still stumped on reproducing the voice & AI Keyboard issue. One of the internet tweaks is designed to stop unwanted browser redirects. Thinking that maybe this could be causing a conflict as both apps use data for some reason or another. At some point today was going to post a version 2.5 that pre-sets a number of different Launchers. If you are willing to give it a try I could send you a version that does not include the Internet tweaks and see if it gets rid of the issue. Sorry though I have tried a number of times and still have not been able to reproduce the issue. On another note I am starting to dig the AI Keyboard and think I'm going to keep using it in place of Swiftkey so thanks for that.

I love this keyboard, although the predictive text and autocorrect will stop working after 18 days unless you upgrade. What was happening was the keyboard would stop coming up. I switched to another keyboard and it worked just fine.

would the new version work for minimal triumph aka 2.2 froyo?

Edit: hey wheres da script!!!! :(

Sorry took it down for a second, actually because I had forgot to include Launcher Pro as one of the Launchers. Also added GO, ADW EX and most ROM stock launchers that should also cover MIUI. You should not have any issues with MT but still always good to have a backup.

Edit:Actually its either MT or FroyoCream that does not support Init.d, I keep forgetting which one it is that does not.

I like how you cleaned up the OP to make it easy to find info and pointing the benefits.

I like to try the HollynameBPTweaks prop file but I have ThunderProp from JollyRoger87 installed, overwriting my currently existing Build.prop will reset my screen resolution and market tweaks for full access (as well as my updates for half my apps). Do I replace the lines accordingly or ThunderProp no longer needed? Update me, thanks.

It doesn’t actually overwrite anything on the build.prop. It just loads the properties from the Hollyname script. One of the reasons I broke this up into 2 scripts was to avoid overwriting or making any permanent changes. All you would need to do is either delete the Hollyname script from the SD-card or go back into Script Manager and UN-select the boot option. Unfortunately I found that in order to get the B.P Tweaks to apply properly from the 108 script in the Init.d folder would end up causing a boot loop if any of the lines in the script had already been present on the Roms B.P. Overwriting the lines on the build.prop would have avoided the bootloop but I decided I did not like the idea of making any permanent changes so instead came up with the script manager idea until I can figure out a way of again combining the two scripts without making any permanent changes to anything. Should also not effect any of the screen or Market stuff from the Thounderprop as it doesnt mess with those properties so I would just let them be as is.

Sorry about that, will add an extra note so its a little more clear.

Sounds and looks better than what I expected. I had my device bootloop messing around with the 108 file, good thing I had it backed up beforehand, that was like 2 weeks ago. I will backup and retry this later tonight or tomorrow soon. Thanks for clearing up the mechanics of the tweaks and hopefully see improvements on my device (July 2010 model).

EDIT: Does the HollynameBPTweaks also no extenstion?

I think a few people may have prematurely thought they had boot looped based on the additional boot time. Pretty sure its the Defraging database files and Loopy Smooth Tweak as booting up is way shorter when they are removed. Either way I think the new version is much better then its 2 week old predecessor had been.

By the looks of it, you have done a well good amount of tweaks and our fellow developers, these look nice. When I did get bootlooped, the startup took longer than normal and when it goes to bootanimation and about to startup it resets. I did something on the tweak that caused this. I am currently backing up and have the files ready. Let's see how it works :)

Also, have you seen this app before, I installed it last night and I think it improved my Wifi speed by 20%. Let me know what you think and if this can be applied on your tweak. I honestly think its nothing but disabling airplane mode and reenabling to get that "boost" connection. I tried 3G too but i'm throttled and hitting 320kbps here in Oakland, CA (West 10 miles from San Francisco).

Fresh Network Booster

EDIT: It did not improve anything.

There are a lot in there but depending on Rom or Kernel not everyone will get all of them. Like for example CM7 is already mounted in noatime, I believe the OC Kernel has the sd card cache set at 1024 and a few of the Froyo based Roms have a few of the others so really what Tweaks are applied will chang on different device configurations. Another example would be that the minfree values set by this script are closer to what Isaak & Ticker had used then they are to the values in the CM7 Reloaded or Stock Rom so the difference in the number of apps running in the background would differ after applying this MOD on CM7 Reloaded then on Isaak's MIUI. Don't get me wrong though there are a few brand new Tweaks mixed in.

Are most of these already included in roms that are updated regularly?

I would not say most of these are in any Rom. Many Roms may have a few included regardless of the version. There are a few common Tweaks in the script just put in the script for good measure but it also does a few things other Roms do not, unless the Rom lists the script itself as a feature. A few I actually grabbed from a forum on Tweaking Linux laptops to conserve power. It wont hurt anything if a Tweak is included with a Rom already but if you are just curious if any are included you could open or extract the Rom with 7zip and read over the scripts in the init.d folder.

Sorry I did not go into detail on all the Tweaks but some are kinda hard to explain or would require way to much space. The loopysmooth Tweak for example adjusts the nice-levels of some of the more important Apps like the phone. So on a scale of -20 to 20, 20 being the lower number it will set the phone at I believe -19. I honestly had to have a developer from work explain how it works and could fill the entire opp over 3 times on explaining just the one tweak but basically it means if you are playing Angry Birds and a friend calls the phone will pop up faster if you are running this script. At least it did when testing.

Still having issues with the lockscreen not showing up for gosmspro. Any chance you could take a look at which line I need to remove to make it work? I'm using your 4.28 two sweet script in the first portion of the OP.

Ill take a look at it tonight, do you remember by chance if the issue was fixed in the 04.22.2012 version? I remember being able to reproduce the issue in the original old school script when it was intended for just CM7 and fixing it. Honestly don't remember what I had to do or if it worked its way back into the 2 current incarnations after starting over from the original CM7 script, if that makes any sense. If not no worry, would just help pinpoint the Tweak that is causing it. Had planned on giving the script another look anyhow. Had been buried on like page 3 or 4 for a bit but suddenly it has been downloaded about 200 times in the last week.

Just tried the 4.22 and lockscreen for gosmspro still doesn't work. Took it off altogether and now it works =[ any ideas? I like tweaks so I really want to keep trying haha xD

Am using the script today and every so often have been removing a Tweak clearing Go SMS data and testing. About halfway down the list at this point so will hopefully have found the culprit by the end of work.

On another note someone has left the Batmobile outside my work completely unattended.

Looks like it’s the line that disables the Log-cat that is causing the issue with the Go SMS Un-lock screen. Why it would need the Log-cat is beyond me, was actually the very last tweak I thought to removed but after I put the entire script back minus the line it continued working. Working on Third Time’s the Charm and will just remove the line. Not sure how much of a boost disabling the Log-cat gives. Was thinking this plus a few other minor Tweaks combined may make a noticeable difference when putting the script together but just the line on its own I don’t think would be missed .

This is the line,

#Remove logger
rm /dev/log/main

Hey I'm running g60 9 with the tweak script 4/22 is there a recommended schedualer cause i get some lag texting and on tapatalk letters take a little longer to pop up. I thought you could be using a shedualer that worked better. Or some other setting I'm not thinking of.
Other wize the script helped big time.

Any way how the teeth my wife just got her upper teeth taken out today (kids kill your calcium) next year its the lower.

Omg thank you for your hard work on finding it! I was going to do it myself but you beat me to it haha xD VERY much appreciated ^_^ lock screen for gosmspro works now! wewt

Not a problem, not a fan of the idea I may have done something that would caused someone else's device to not function properly. Still stumped on why it needs the Logcat but who knows, put that in the same category as having to spoof an MEID running CM7 on my Kindle to use the XDA App. Only the free version too, paid one ended up working fine without the MEID number. With that said I'm kinda stumped on this one at the moment,

I'm checking it out now but am using Interactive w/ SIO Schedualer. Honestly though a few days after posting Two Sweet I picked back up working on that Re-Launch Rom and have not used the full script in a minute so cant confirm anything that may have changed in g60madman's latest builds. The Rom is based mostly off the source from his very first post Reloaded build. Have been using the Rom as is as the daily for error checking purposes and have only included 3 Tweaks from the 108 script. Figured I would let the user decide on the script separately. Any how before I start ranting I have been using the full script with Re-Launch for the last two days checking on the above Go SMS gesture lockscreen issue and have not experienced any lag. About to flash the latest G60 build and check it out though.

Funny you should ask about the dentistry as I'm currently eating my first chip in what feels like forever. Don't even like chips but just because I couldn't have them Ive been craving them like a M%@. Lost like 15 lb in two weeks because I was so afraid of dry socket. I'm allergic to pain killers and my worst fear imaginable is being left in any type of severe pain and not being able to do anything about it.

Interactive with sio same here.

And my wife has only been able to eat soggy cereal for 5 months due to no back teeth . She is happy she lost 35 pounds. But happier when she can eat normal food.
