Help Problem sending/receiving & duplicate texts

Gladius I'm already on my 2nd device thanks to the factory reset which caused my g wallet to do the secure element issue the phandroid article a while back was about me cause I pre order may 7th got my device early and 2days in that's what happened and even on my 2nd device I'm experiencing this same issue

Hopefully it will get fixed in an update ASAP. Other people on other forums are having the same issue. Also experiencing missed calls and texts coming in hours/days later. This is totally unacceptable. Whatever "reset" they do over the phone is only a temp fix....smh.

So I took the phone to the sprint store. The guy told me to do a hard reset (i didnt really wanted to do that cause of previous issues with other people so didnt do it), he updated the profile and prl (i did it this morning too), and he said if the problem will occur again than bring it in and they give me a new one.

Has anyone else noticed the texting issue still occuring frequently? Mine only happens mainly when I text another sprint user..delayed messages..but iv also noticed when I power my device down then back on I get all kinds of texts from people saying what are you talking about or huh? Basically my phone sends texts that should have sent days ago or hours ago that never did when I restart my device even after that ota update!!! This is rediculous!!!!

I also have had this problem; seems that it occurs sporadically. Cannot predict when it will happen.

So I have got this message everytime I text a sprint customer or pre paid customer but verizon or at&t or t mobile it don't happen... This just started this morning has anyone else been getting this message!?!?

The customer you are trying to text is temporarily out of service. Msg 2110

Aside from the message I was receiving earlier since then my texting has been worse then ever before..now I Haveto resort to facebook messenger..I get some messages then others I don't..on/off from different people with different carriers I have full-medium signal in my whole home town..iv never had this issue until I got my evo LTE 4g so I just emailed sprint this is ridiculous!

And my best friend has the same device and she is having the same exact issue! Iv updated my prl, my profile etc a thousand times and nothing improved...and since that system update it has only became worse when it decides to act up its worse then before it basically works when it wants too..and when I restart my device it sends messages I thought sent hours or even days ago... Ughhh

im not having any thing issues.. but I used to have the same thing your explaining when I had the Samsung Moment.. it would come and go.. only when toting verizon ppl. called Sprint and they would always say it was the other carriers fault... never did figure out why it did it. Probably bc it was a Samsung. lol

I have this problem off and on. Most recently today. It seems to clear up on its own, which makes me think it's a network issue. Ugh.

I've had a few delays in sending, but even then it takes less than a minute to send and that doesn't happen often - they usually just go right away. They apparently show up for the recipient right away because I get fast replies to them. Almost everyone I text with is on Sprint.

Okay well I contacted sprint about the issue and they said there was a network outage in my area for texting but they expected the issue to be resolved within 24 hours and since then it hasent been an issue thank god

I think it was a network issue too cause mine was worse in the beginning when I got my phone. The circle thing on Handcent would spin and spin and sometimes text wouldn't send and sometimes someone would say they got it twice. And sometimes I would get a reply while it was still spinning. Then all my text would come through at once when I got home from work and the ones that would send in certain spots at work on my 3D wouldn't send on the new EVO. But now my text usually send right away if not a few seconds after. I have my Handcent set to tell me the text has sent.

But the other night a text came through late from a friend saying are you working and she knows I get off at 11 and i shouldn't of replied that late cause it was probably and old text and she doesn't have a good signal in her house so it probably just never sent. So I have problems still every so often with it taking a bit longer to send but not with the circle spinning and spinning 10 minutes later like before. My pictures were taking long too and the other day I sent one and it went right away I was shocked. But they told me they just updated a tower near me too so who knows. But mine is much better than it was in the beginning.

When this happens to me, I often get an outright Handcent failure, i.e. it says the text failed and I would have to tap and re-send it for it to go. I notice that forcing a PRL and profile update (i.e. re-setting the radio) usually can clear it up immediately. Very frustrating.

Also, I rebooted my phone today and it sent out a ton of old texts to people. That was not amusing. Not sure if that's a Handcent thing or phone thing though. I am considering uninstalling Handcent for this reboot cycle.

Mine had been better and last night and tonight I left work and all my text came through at once. I get a lot of tweets texted to me from radio stations and Good & EVO and a friend had replied to a text and they all came through at once as I got outside from work tonight. I thought mine was better. I update my profile and PRL everytime this happens and I reboot every so often. I am hoping it's just a Sprint thing and not my phone.

I still have these same exact issues like I stated in previous posts. Trust me your not alone! I as well use handcent and experience the same issues to a T !!!!

I sent my daughter a text yesterday, after I pushed Send it vanished & doesn't show on my phone or hers. I can't rule out operator error though, because I sent it while at work & I'm always paranoid someone will walk up behind me. Other texts are behaving normally as far as I can tell.

I've been having it off and on. Today did a PRL and profile and after the profile it wanted to reboot the phone. That was something new.

I suddenly lost the ability to send or receive texts completely except through my Google Voice number.

Did a wipe and reset and even loaded a new ROM and still nothing!

Thought I'd share this update from our Samurai, posted just a bit ago in the root forum -

Just got off the phone with Sprint, the first regular CS updated the service and nothing, a tech CS did it a second time and it works now. Not sure where the issue was, all they said was they did the service update.

The latest update to 4.0.4 seems to have fixed my texting problem, it was getting bad. Every few texts was getting "stuck" on "send" forever. I would have to copy the contents, delete it and re-send. But it seems to properly send now, even the ones that take longer that would get "stuck" do send.

Hey guys I'm really hoping you can help me

As of 2 hours ago my evo won't send or receive txts. I'm rooted so idk if I should have put this in the all things root section. I'm running Meanrom.

When I go to send a txt I get a red triangle and a message saying the text was unable to send. This is when I try to send a txt to anyone. I'm also not receiving txts. I wiped and restored a known good backup. Turned the phone off and on, Did a "battery pull", updated PRL and Profile. Sprint says there are no outages. They told me to update my PRL and Profile which I did. Still having the issue...

I've never had an issue sending or receiving txt before. This is the first time and it was working fine this morning.


Edit: just wanted to also add my Internet connection is fine. I'm receiving email. Even Google now cards come through fine. I can also make calls and receive them just fine
