I don't know why you were told that the update would slow your phone down because it shouldn't. If Samsung knew there was a problem with that update they would either pull it or release a fix.

Anyhow, performing a factory reset won't roll back your Firmware version from 2.3.6 to 2.3.1.

Hello All,

I'm just trying to upgrade my firmware to 2.3.6
My samsung is Galaxy S Plus.

I used Odin version (Odin3-v1.31.exe).

But I'm stuck at the following :

<ID:0/014> Added!!
<ID:0/014> Odin v.3 engine (ID:14)..
<ID:0/014> File analysis..
<ID:0/014> Enter CS for MD5..
<ID:0/014> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<ID:0/014> Please wait..
<ID:0/014> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<ID:0/014> Leave CS..
<ID:0/014> SetupConnection..

Any idea????

Thanks in advance...
