Help Wont charge!

Ill cut to the chase. I plug my phone in and it says its charging, but the battery level still goes down. I unplug it and it doesn't still say it charging. I can still connect to my computer but the phone wont charge at all. Ive switched batteries out from my wifes phone, and Ive been using her phone to charge my battery. Any idea on whats going on?

My phone is rooted, but running stock 2.3.6 with link2sd installed.

This happened on my wife's Admire on multiple occasions. The first couple times, we reset the phone and all was well (other than having to put all her info back in each time). The third time reset did nothing for it. Metro refused warranty because there also happened to be a crack in the glass (diamond earring, not dropped). Since I was too stubborn to concede defeat and just buy a new one, we spent 2 months swapping batteries each time I charged mine. Then, out of nowhere, hers just started working again and has been fine since (over 2 months now). This doesn't help you in the least as far as WHY it happens (we never found out), but if you just keep plugging along it will eventually start working again.

The funny thing is that I plugged it in last night, and now it charges... I think this is very odd, but Im glad Im not the only one this happened too. Its crazy lol.

Ok this may sound weird but i have the same problem. first time i took it to the store new battery boot this boot that finally it worked again. Weeks later same thing this time i noticed the battery was hot so i put it in the freezer for about 10 minutes wiped it off good an put it back in the phone wahlah it worked. It did the same thing this morning i forgot to plug it in totaly dead plugged in charger unable to charge unknown battery. So again i put in in the freezer took it out wiped it off good put it back in phone and u guessed it wahlah it worked. hope it works for you if it does pass this tip on thanks

All you need is a pocket freezer and you're gtg :D I personally would NOT run a defective battery in any device. Cooling the circuitry in the freezer is a temporary fix but the underlying problem is still there. You could risk permanent damage to the charging system, logic board, etc. The cost of a new battery or charging port is much less than a new phone. This is of course just my humble opinion.
