Galaxy Nexus vs Nexus 7 vs Galaxy S3

I made another thread but it got buried with no replies, hence this one.

I have an Incredible S, and I'm bored of it. I want something with a bit more 'oomph'. I looked at the iPhone 5 - as I have an MacBook Pro and an iPad 3, so tied into the Apple ecosystem - but found it to be a huge let down. I'm also getting sick of iOS, and I feel Android is surpassing iOS on so many levels.

I'm on a budget as I'm still in university - student loans etc. - but I don't want to get something that's going to be outdated in a years time. I would also prefer stock Android, I'm not really a fan of companies overlays. I have launchers etc all over my Incredible S so it resembles stock ICS.

So, my question is;

Should I get a Galaxy Nexus or wait for the new Nexus that should come out at the end of the year? Or should I go for an S3 instead, even though it uses TouchWiz? OR should I just stick to my Incredible S and get a Nexus 7 (even though I have an iPad) and tether it to my phone?

The Nexus 7 option is there, because I'm finding myself using my iPad less and less because of the size of it, whereas the Nexus 7 is such a nice size to carry around, tethering it to my phone would give me the best of both worlds. But at the same time, it would be so much easier to be able to do everything from the one device i.e. Galaxy Nexus/Galaxy S3.

Any advice?

SIII is the best phone of the moment, and since the Nexus is getting older, it will probably have the same lifespan as an SIII. Manufacturers usually support updates for their phones only up to two years, but the Nexus line will be supported as long as hardware can manage, so factoring in the fact that the Nexus is a previous generation older than the SIII, I'll expect them to have both 2 years more lifespan. The GNex will be cheaper after the holidays though.

Personally, in your position I'll get the Galaxy Nexus. Its way more bang for buck than the SIII, which is important since you are on a budget, and the iPad3 has more optimized apps than Android tablets for now. You'll want both devices because using one device only drains the battery too fast.

Rumour has it - and I want to emphasise rumour - that Google plans on releasing a few Nexus phones, which therefore could mean a more mid-range variant might become available to suit my needs. Then again, the new one would obviously mean the current Galaxy Nexus's price will drop.

You have the latest iPad and an aging phone. Honestly the phone is the one that needs upgrading. You can move to an Android tablet when the iPad is older.

I almost got the Galaxy Nexus, but decided to wait for the new Nexuses.
In about a month there will be new devices, probably much better ones,
And it will be worth the additional money.
And btw, the Galaxy Nexus price will drop down once the new ones will announce.. So wait
