This is the first phone that I've owned that has LED notifications, and I've become very reliant on them. Has anyone ever felt their phone vibrate in their pocket only to power on the screen to find out it didnt really go off (phantom vibration). Well for me, its now the LEDs. For most of the day, the droid sits on my desk and i'll look at it every now and again to see if the light is blinking to see if i have an unread message. Every now and again i'll see it blink when there are no new notifications, and its making me feel crazy. anyone else get this at all???

I've not seen that particular LED issue, but I've noticed something since the 2.1 upgrade. The New Mail (green) LED would flash for new mail, whether the screen was lit or not. Now the LED only flashes if the screen is off. When it is on, new mail will come in and vibrate only, no LED.

Depending on what the notification is for, this is a known bug - Specifically, Yahoo email notifications. There are so many issues with the Droid and Yahoo email accounts, but one of them is: you get a new mail notification only to go into the email app and see no new messages. But if it's not Yahoo email that you're talking about, then maybe you are slipping from reality a bit :p

I've not had those problems with my yahoo mail. A couple months ago, it wasn't syncing well at all, but I followed some steps to reconfigure it and it has been quite accurate since - for receiving new mail that is. For sending, I have the reported bug of it causing anywhere from 10 to 80 duplicates in my Sent folder. Luckily my recipients aren't getting those, but it makes managing my mail much more difficult now.
