.::Droid Incredible Lounge::.

Bought mine this morning too! It's amazing how much bigger the screen is compared to my XV6900. :D I showed it to a couple guys here at work that have iPhones and and they were pretty impressed. One of them went to a web site he likes that uses flash and when it worked he was loving it. Given a little time he may even convert. :)

If only the power strip wasn't under the desk so I could play with it while it charges! :(

Got my Droid Incredible at a Verizon store a couple hours ago. So happy! The sales woman that helped us (my boss and I both got one) said that she personally had sold 7 already. While we were checking out, two other people were getting Incredible's also. I did see one poor lady buying a Droid Eris. Ouch!!

Anyway, love the phone, love Android Forums, and now I have to TRY and work for a few more hours while the Incredible just sits on my desk staring at me.

Okay...picked up the D.Inc yesterday from fedex hub, got home (9pm), charged it overnight. Placed phone back into box to bring to work with me to activate/customize...had meetings from 8:30am - 12:30pm. Get back to my office anxiously ready to play with the phone (still never turned on since charging)...Battery's totally dead??? (WTF)
Am I missing something or just being an idiot stressing over nothing?

Okay. I received my phone yesterday and got it all set up with no problems. Today I am having a few problems.
#1 The internet was taking a longer to load websites. I only downloaded 3 or 4 apps so I dont think that is to blame. Although speed has picked up a little since I had this problem.
#2 On Facebook I am not able to select the "comment" button to respond to a post.

Other than this, I Love my Incredible.

Can anyone help with these two issues?

Thanks

Picked mine up at Best Buy during my lunch break. I asked them to pricematch Verizon's $529 price and at first they wouldn't telling me that they don't match full price because they don't make any money on non-contract phones.

Then I spoke to the mobile phone supervisor and he backed off but said he would only pricematch if the local Verizon store had stock. So i said there are several verizon stores so why waste your time, i'm sure one of them has stock. He says, he said "local" meaning the store around the corner. He said he wouldn't call 20 stores and would only call the closest one...fortunately they did have stock.

I hate Best Buy most of the time but I had $25 reward zone dollars I wanted to use so I went there instead of a VZW corp store. 10 minutes later I walked out with my phone. A little hassle but worth it.

Set up my gmail, work email and did the backup assistant with no problems. Will update apps tonight when I get home from work. Charging on my desk now, not sure if I can really do any work now!

Verizon has had no advertisements for this phone. Does not surprise me at all that the stores are not sold out. I feel like there was a lot more build up for the Droid.

Somebody had mentioned a few days ago that a CSR they talked to said they underestimated how big this release was going to be. They said the demand was 10 times that of the Moto Droid at release. But that is online, I don't think there is the same demand in the stores because most everyone was pre-ordering it. Also, not selling in one or even five stores is not a good guage of how well it's selling. I think when the numbers are released it will be surprising.:)

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone could help me get an Incredible. Like many I followed the Inc thread for many months. Everyone got me excited about the phone and I figured I would have no problem upgrading to the Inc. because I checked my NE2 and it is set at 3/28/11 but I know Verizon normally lets you do an early yearly upgrade. I called Verizon on the 4/19 to see if it was possible for me to pre-order it and the guy told me I couldn't because I wasn't eligible for an upgrade but then he said they can give me the one year pricing on it if I called back once the phone was released which would be on the 29th.

So today I thought why not give the store a try and see if they can give me the full upgrade and I went to two different stores but both said I couldn't upgrade and the only option was to pay full retail. That wasn't too big a deal to me so I called Verizon to get the one year pricing on it which I was told was going to be $269.99. The lady I talked to told me they couldn't do any upgrade and that I would have to pay full retail. Now, I was a bit upset but I decided to call again just a few minutes ago. A talked to a different lady but she told me the same thing. I told both of them that last week the man I talked to said I could do the one year pricing but neither helped me with that. :(

I know everyone on these forums are very helpful and I was wondering if anyone can help me out with my dilemma. Any advice on what I should try or do?

Internet loading is more likely than not a 3G signal issue, at times the Mighty Big red does bog down (not by much and not all that often, but it does happen). Try it a little later to see if the speed has picked up. And the facebook issue might be because the data from the page hasn't loaded properly (i.e. errors on page). Try refreshing

Thanks. I appreciate it.

You can always add a line and change your primary line down to a the lowest possible plan, that way you get the new contract price. And there is always the etf on that line as well, someone on here was saying that the maximum charge on the ETF was now 175.00? I may be wrong but those are the options I know of.

The hardware can, it's android 2.1 that doesn't fully support it yet.
