i have been reading that it is for business customers only?

i would think they meant that credit for corps of like 10+ people...i'm just a firm of ONE.

Good luck. I tried using my tax ID, and the rep said that the port credit was only for people who worked for an existing company that's set up with a discounted monthly plan. My pricing was going to be the same, and no port credit.

Asked this also when I reserved my EVO, rep said they do not honor it.

The number being ported would need to be on a corporate account on the other carrier.

I called my local store initially and was offered a $200.00 per line port credit for 4 lines if I established my account as a corporate account. That sounded good and the next day I received an email from one of our suppliers about their partners program of which Sprint participates. That program is managed through True Wireless . They could only offer $100.00 per line port credit but they gave me 3 Hero's free and the EVO when released for $99.99 which is the same value.

However, I also received a 23% discount of the monthly plan so that became substantial. As of earlier this week my rep told me that the $100.00 per line port credit is being offered for new corporate accounts. My numbers are not on a corporate account with my current carrier.

Where are you getting this information? How would Sprint even know what the account status of your old number was?

I was told by the EVP sales rep that that site is only for corporate phones that are registered to a business tax ID. So if you set your account up with a SSN you cannot get the credit.
