OTA update not available

I have been reading that HTC Desire is getting OTA update for some minor fixes including facebook recognition. I have checked again and again in my phone and there seems to be no update available. Can anyone shed some light on this?

From what I've read it caused more problems than it solved and has since been withdrawn on other networks so I shouldn't worry

Orange have not done this update yet, only way to get it is if you have debranded & unlocked your phone.
It only appears to cause problems with Orange branded handsets, see the Desire Threads.
