I turned on my phone today and found out my Phone icon on the bottom far left of the phone on my Home screen was missing. I opened up my App icon to see if I could restore it from there but it would'nt let me.

You have to put the icon on a page first and then move it down to the bottom area. For some reason you can't go directly from the app page to that area - it's a two-step process.

Somehow it's not working for me. I placed the phone icon on the first page and then tried to put it on the lower part (with messages, contacts etc.), but the only thing my phone is offering is either to remove the icon or just replace it on a free space on first page. Grrr, so irritating!

Try This:
Press the "Applications" icon (Blue tile with 4 white square)
Look for the page that contain your "lost icon"
Click the "Menu" icon (bottom left icon on your phone: an inverted U with 2 line inside)
Click "Edit"
Press & Hold the "lost icon", then drag it to where you want it to be
Finish it by pressing the "Home" or "Return" icon
Hope this help!
