then edit the thread and you should see 'channel id' and just type in the name of the channel.
I don;t see any mention of channel id.

Thread is in Android Devices.
On thread list select Edit on one of the threads.

I tired a thread I did not start.
I tried a thread I started.

Where should I be looking for channel id?

After moving a thread to the Android Devices channel here are the next two steps:

Favorite forums is not working for me. I add new ones but the changes don't commit. May be related to my being a former staffer. Several if not all of the staff only forums were populated there already for me and using the clear favorites option did not work on those.

The site looks great. Hats off to all involved.

Is this still happening? Can you give more info.. are you using mobile or desktop?

Two more observations:
If I'm in a thread and hit 'home' the page doesn't refresh, I have to hit the refresh wheel thingy. It actually seems to be hit and miss, sometimes it does and sometimes not. I thought maybe it was a timing thing but that doesn't appear to be the case.

There's no thread preview when hovering over the topic/thread anymore. I liked that and miss it.

I'd like a bit more info on both of these. I'm not understanding the top bit. The second bit, I have a bug listed elsewhere on the formatting of that popup, so it seems some see it some don't?

Well I can't visit them because I have no access anymore. I had this same issue with the old theme. The staff forums persisted as favorites. Interestingly though, when I go to menu > favorites it says I have none selected. But when I click on the fave forums button, there they all are.

Ok, I have cleared those for you. Sorry for the trouble and how long it took!

The top bit seems to have fixed itself. It wasn't always updating when returning to 'home' but it's working now.
The second bit was sort of clarified somewhere in here...when hovering in a specific/sub-forum you can see a preview but they don't show on the threads on the 'home' page (Chrome).
And, I'll add a third bit that has probably already been mentioned and I didn't see; it used to show who posted in a thread last and now shows who the OP is/was. Hopefully that's been updated/addressed? Thanks :)

Can you explain further? I can't recreate.
I think he means something like this:
Screenshot_2017-02-20-17-55-55.png
Where the tools popup has remained on screen after edit is selected and is covering the save button. However, when I press the back key to get rid of the keyboard the tools popup also disappears, so I can save edits. So for me it's a bug but not a show-stopper.

(That screenshot is using the Ghostery browser).

Ah yes.

1. Good!
2. Ah! I've put this in.
3. This has also been submitted, but for discussion not immediate fix. I agree with you, but need to get that past Rob.

Ah got it. Yes, this I believe is intended design. Unfortunately we only have so much screen space. :\

On the home page the popup preview doesn't show, in device forums/channels it does pop up.

Thanks!

Did you try revisiting the "area"? I found that when I set an area as a favorite it did not seem to register. When I later visited it it was set.

In short it doesn't seem to do a screen refresh after doing the update.

... Thom

Refresh is no longer needed to get start to show. Auto refreshes.

It's, um, different.
One thing I see is something I had mentioned previously in the other update thread. When in a forum for a device, clicking on "root" to sort root posts only brings up root posts for ALL devices and not just the one you are looking at. That's unacceptable and has to be fixed. I assume the other sort options will do the same thing.

This should be fixed, thanks!

Yes it is.
Not sure if this has been mentioned, but when looking at a list of threads either on the front page or in a particular forum, each one may show the time of the most recent post or it may show the time of the original post. When you select a thread to read, it may jump to the last page or it may go to the first page of the thread.

That seems surprising: what purpose does keeping that popup there while you are editing a post serve? If I wanted to report the post I am currently editing (the only functionality it offers) I'd be perfectly happy to leave the editor to do it ;).

I just found that the three lines to the left of the title toggle it on and off.

That's great, but I have to keep clicking it wherever I go, or even go back.

"If this is going to remain as the design then this should be a global option as opposed to a local page option."

That would be the perfect solution.

???????? You deleted the whole LG Volt forum. How is that "Resolved"?
the channel for the LG Volt is definitely there: http://androidforums.com/devices/lg-volt.2120/
This appears to be the other LG Volt channel (linked here):
http://androidforums.com/devices/lg-volt.2766/
Now forwards to the list of devices (after being deleted?).

Might be related to my post here where I found two URLs for both MetroPCS and Verizon where each have a different list of posts.

Thanks Thom.

My 2 cents to admin...add the device finder to the main overview at the very top right above the Samsung logo. Going into the menu, to the devices option, and then spotting the quick search is not particularly intuitive.

Have fixed the main search bar (blue at very top) to auto-complete like quick search. Please see if this helps with the workflow.

there is a pretty big bug for new / unregistered members. I can't get to the homepage because the X to close the full screen Verizon add doesn't close the add.

This has been duplicated and video sent to ad agency for resolution.

Seems wrong:
Bookmarks still have the same old icons, viewed on Firefox.

Should have new favicon now!
