Hi all,

I just updated my Samsung Galaxy S i9000 to ICS 4.0.3

Since that, my phone is working fine except for sim contacts, I cannot see any of them? I only have "People" which only has my gmail addresses in it.

I know the contacts are on the sim as I tried another phone.

Please help.

Well, the update you installed wasn't an official Samsung update, because they never released ICS for the Galaxy S. It may be that the ROM you installed did not support SIM contacts because Android was never designed for SIM contacts as far as I know. It was designed that you have your contacts on your Google Account and you would manage it from there. You may try to find an app that imports your contacts from SIM to Google.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

You're right, it's not official but it's the exact same as an official one.

I played around with it and found a fix:

I went into "Manage Apps", clicked on Contacts Storage" and Cleared Data.

Then, I went into "People" and clicked on Menu and then Import/Export.
From there, Import from Sim, and from there Import All.

I now have all my sim contacts on my Android ICS on Galaxy S1

Boom! :)

Yes but they're not SIM contacts anymore, meaning you can use the SIM to transfer them. You can't save to SIM as well. And if you export, not all data will be saved to SIM.
