A100 won't turn onSupport

I have a big issue with my A100... Yesterday the battery was running low, so I charged it for about 40 minutes before going to bed. Then I unplugged it and turned it on again, but the battery was still at 2 percent, which I thought was strange, but didn't think about it. So today I come home after work, charge the A100, leave it for 2 hours straight and try to turn it on, but the only thing that happens is the home button blinks once very quickly and the nothing happens... My theory is that the battery has no contact or is dead for some reason. I take very good care of my tech, so it never fell on the ground or anything similar. Has anyone an idea what it could be?

When it's plugged into the charger does the little led in the power button light up? I'm thinking it's more likely that your charger has pooped out.

Well I thought about that, but since Usb charging is not supported I could not test that, but it does not light up when plugged in. That is why i believe the battery is faulty. Also, from day one on while charging the A100 when turned on I could feel the screen buzzing ...like there was electricity flowing through. I took it back today. Guess I'll have to wait and see :-\

I got it back today, Acer "repaired" it... They obviously only replaced the battery, since the problems persist. The device is still not charging, the orange LED doesn't light up either when plugged in. And the screen still has that buzzing electric weird feeling when plugged in the mains. So I guess I have to take it back tomorrow... again. Not happy

Well that's just the absolute pits. I hope they get it right this time, maybe you can convince them to swap it out.

Well I got my tablet back... and Acer gave me the report on the situation. Apparently they fixed the device, and said they got rid of the electric/static feeling on the screen when the device was charging... that, however was not the case. They replaced the charger, it was broken. But I still have the static feel on the screen. So as a little "thank you Acer" I flashed the leaked version of ICS on the still broken tablet and sent it back to Acer, again. Can't wait to see their report next time, or maybe they will actually replace it now, since it is the 3rd time I had to send it in. ...Oh well...

Thank you, seriously... this situation I'm in turns into a really bad joke. You get the feeling that they (the guys at Acer) don't care at all. I mean I've had to explain three times what the problem is and they confirmed three times that they solved the problem, but that was obviously not the case. I've had my tablet longer in repairs than I actually was using it. But I am a very calm person so it is difficult to get me upset, this however starts to scratch on my nerves. Will post again when I get it back

Sooo, I got a voucher from the shop that sold me the tablet, since it was an issue even acer could not figure out. I was so happy that it eventually came to an end and decided that I leave acer products far away from me... I got myself a galaxy tab 7.7 wifi-only version instead. Thanks guys for helping out, but I'm moving over to Samsung for now ;)

I'm sorry we won't be seeing you around here in the a100 forum any more, but I know you'll enjoy your galaxy tab. I hear it's a great little tablet. All the best to you.
