Help app update issue

So I have the free amazon app a day application, Which i downloaded the business calendar app from some time ago. Now the business calendar is in my apps for an update but everytime i try it tells me error because i haven't purchased it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but that didn't work. any suggestions?

From where did you download the App that is not installing?

I installed the business calendar app from the Amazon appstore. There's a free paid app everyday. So I didn't download it directly from the market.

If it was the Market I would have suggested going to ...

Settings | Applications | Manage applications | Market

... and then hit Clear Cache and Clear Data.

I have no experience with Amazon ... perhaps a similar approach?

It actually finally updated itself in the Amazon appstore, thanks for the help though. You should really look into it, just go to amazon.com then appstore for android and you can download the app from there. There's a free paid app everyday. I've gotten a ton of free apps that way, they're hit and miss but once in awhile you get a good one.
