To back up what? There's almost no app that will back up everything on an unrooted phone (and few that will on a rooted phone).

are u just trying to back up your apps and their data? the best way to backup everything is with a nandroid backup thru CWM recovery. i know that wasnt your question, and u were looking for an app to do it, but it is honestly the best way to back up EVERYTHING on your phone in its current state, hands down.

tyvm if u r looking for an app to backup apps and their data, the standard in the android community seems to be Titanium Backup, but i dont remember if they have a free version or not. it is an excellent app tho, and has many, many useful utilities for more than just backup purposes. it is an excellent file management utility. it still wont get as much as a nandroid, but it has a lot of useful features that arent possible with a nandroid backup. when i want to do a full backup of my system, i first do a nandroid in CWM recovery, and then go and do a full backup with Titanium Backup as well. hope that helps!
