copy information from contact cards?

Hello all

New to android and this forum. Coming from blackberry and crackberry.com.

Here's my question...how do you copy phone numbers and email addresses etc..from my contacts?? I frequently have to do this and so far the only way I can find to do it is to select edit, then it lets me copy.

Can this be done? Thanks
