Help Droid X Rebooted Itself

At about 5PM today eastern time, my Droid X, sitting in its multimedia charger, powered down, and then powered itself back up. Is this thing like a Windows PC getting updates or something?

I doubt if your X rebooted as a result of an update coming to it. It's possible, but seems more likely that some app/widget is not playing nice with the system.

I'd go into the application manager and sort by size, then clear cache on all of the larger, active ones.

I'd also check running services for suspects. Then I'd reboot after making any changes.
