Eris v3 call problem, any ideas?General

    Hey guys long time reader first time poster... really need some help and after reading us v3 leakers will not be getting OTA for awhile, ill break down and ask...

    my main problem since i updated to v3 is that probably 40% of my Incoming calls the phone goes to black screen and then phone app force closes... and normally i have to take the battery out to restart phone.. the call never shows up in my call log and i have no idea who it was. Its very annoying.

    I was hoping that the OTA would fix this for me.. but now im sol :(

    any ideas?

    Try doing a factory reset.

    Dude, that sounds like a serious enough problem that you should take it to Verizon and get a replacement under warranty. Now that the software on your phone (leak v3) matches the current software release (the OTA), they will assume you got the OTA.

    I agree with thenestor. Something like that which is a pretty big problem, could be more than just a software bug. There could be underlying hardware problems and you should call Verizon support. That's what i would do.

    I had this problem a while back, turns out it was City Caller ID and Startup Auditor. Do you have either of those programs installed?

    I'd give Customer Service a call.. explain to them your issue... They replaced mine free of charge on the 1 year warranty weeks before the official OTA was even announced.. and this is from a phone a bought off of craigslist..

    thankyou all for the replies, i actually do have the startup auditor installed ill try uninstalling it and if that doesnt work will contact verizon.. isnt it true that the leakers v3 has a different hboot number? would they check that?
