I bought a unlocked and rooted Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in February. It has never given me any trouble until today. It started telling me TouchWiz has stopped, I looked it up and most people said it was fixed with a factory reset. Not thinking about my unlocked phone...I did it. I use Straight talk on this phone and was wondering if the phone was once again Unlocked would I would need a new Sim (which is bad news cause they do not sell for a reasonable price anymore) to get my phone working again?

doing a factory reset only clears out the /data, /cache/ and /dalvic portions of the phone. it does not mess with /system or the radio's of the device. you should be good to go.
