I have a Sprint Galaxy s3, but am using it on Straight Talk. Phone has been fine for 3 months or so..minor issue with not being able to send pictures in texts but that has been resolved...

Phone suddenly stopped connecting to the internet unless it has a wifi connection. keeps giving me a No Network message..I can get calls and texts but no internet..again..if I have wifi available, I am ok...

Any thoughts?

Do you recall installing any app or some update right before your phone started to have this problem? If it was an app try uninstalling or re-installing it. If it was an update try clearing the system cache partition:

Another thing to try is restarting your S3 in 'Safe Mode'. When it's running in Safe Mode it's only with the default apps it came with, anything installed isn't loaded. To exit Safe Mode just restart your phone the way you normally would.

As your WiFi connectivity seems to be OK and it's just the cellular, try installing this app from Open Signal. It will let you map out local Sprint towers. Has anything changed nearby, like some construction project? It could be interfering with the cellular signal you used to be getting. You mentioned no problem with calls and texts but maybe it isn't so much cutting off your mobile data but restricting it just enough to mess regular online access?
