The black RCA is a coaxial SPDIF digital audio output. To connect video via YPbPr (known as 'video components') you need to plug the three cables to a TV that can handle this high-quality analog signal. Composite video (just 1 RCA) is apparently not supported by the device probably due to the low quality it think link provides and the lack of a dedicated rca output for this.

BTW, can anyone confirm which is the dongle DVB-T that comes with the ATV2000?

Thank you the Answer! It is very bad for me, because, i buy it this exact te analog output.

I dont know, wat dongle is exact in te atv2000, but in the top of 4. page, i post a message from the accesories, from Mygica page.

This is because the Amlogic supplied video player has hardware acceleration enabled, the other players on the Android market don't so fall back to the CPU which isn't strong enough to decode video on it's own.

The other players on the Android market would have to add support for Amlogic chipsets to enable hardware decoding.

P.S. thanks for the beta 2.3 firmware kgdteam, it runs very well but a bit buggy in the marketplace.

Kgdteam if you have contacts within Geniatech/MyGica see if you can get them to update their media player to support DLNA servers or SMB file servers.

And this one is pretty far out but if you could get them to help port GeeXbox to Amlogic players interest in their players would sky rocket within the XBMC community as these players are almost perfect for XBMC.

Thanks for this wonderful news! I guess I can use it in the ATV1000 or ATV3000 maybe installing the provided apk for HiDTV or waiting for the official drivers for Android.

Yocee, if you lack HDMI or Video componentes inputs in your TV you can find easily cheap adapters from components to composite, just google around.

the program used with DVB-T is called HiDTV http://www.geniatech.com/down-eng/Androidtvbox/MyGicaHiDTV_V_1.1.6b.zip

another thing, due to firmware or hardware, its hard for me to turn the unit on. sometimes its working, sometimes not. after turning on, the leds are on (blue & orange) and on tv i see "input 720p 60 mhz" but the screen is black. i noticed that if i keep pressed the back black button for a little bit while powering on, it works ok.
another thing that happened, while started to watch a youtube video, everything went black. i could hear the sound for a bit, but then nothing worked, and a hard reboot required. looking forward firmware update

We have no contact with them, but when you leave the official firmware 2.3, added many improvements, especially for network, samba, cifs, DLNA, etc ...

    Salu2.

Thanks, but the hdmi to composit converter it isnt cheap. It is half of the ATV-s price.

Have you tried factory data reset?
(You must go settings--->privacy and choose factory data reset)
I resolved my problems, different from yours, in this way.

When i see my picture from mainboard, i found two intresting point.
One is the near of right left corner of the main cpu. 9 hole. 2 big, and 7 small soldering point. Is Sata port. i Find a bad motherboard, and change the port, to use sata hdd.
The second is the bottom of the coax rca female connector. is a 3 pin. I think, 2 side is ground, and the center anything. I hope this is component video, but missing some parts. i try this tomorrow.

It is not component video source adapter. your linked adapters is 2 audio and 1 composit to scart. or scart to 2 audio, 1 composit, 1 svideo.

it is not good for me.

this is the hardware for me:
COMPONENT TO COMPOSITE OR S-VIDEO CONVERTOR: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics

COMPOSIT input, 1 yellow rca socket.

So you can go from components (android box) to scart with the Hama, and then from scart to composite with the belkin maybe?
  17. Yocee

    Yocee Well-Known Member

No, it is two different thing. Scart is composit, rgb, svideo and audio signals only.

Component is 3 pair rca, for high resolution analog signal.

Hi, at this moment, 20110804 and 20110909 are more stable firmwares (I prefer the first, because it has not flash player inbuilt).
But have you particular problems with your actual firmware?
If not, I suggest you to wait for a next, more stable, 2.3.4 release.
Which is the firmware installed in your device? Have you a backup copy of it?
If not, you must consider that after upgrade, you will not able to come back to your actual firmware
(but you will remain to the last installed).
You will find the links in the first page of this thread.

Ok, I get it. For the price of a expensive active components/composite adapter you can go for a new TV with HDMI.

It is not worthy of using composite output. For the resolution of composite output is only 720X576i, for video playback , this resolution is ok. but for web surfrying, it is too low. You will be disappointed if you get one composite output.

As szemo77 says, probably we must wait only for few days...
I know the beta release update20111010_Kgdtea_beta1.zip and I already wrote that it was really unstable.
In the meantime (if you want), you can always return to an earlier stable firmware, you must only remember
(for a correct installation) to make factory data reset.
