I'm using GoSMSPro on my Galaxay S3, does anyone know how I can disable tweets from Twitter coming in on it? I love using it for messaging but I have a grandson that is driving me nuts on the number of tweets he sends out everyday. I follow him through my Twitter account but I leave it off unless I need it but my GoSMSpro is picking up the tweets.

Not really sure here, but I can't even see an option to enable twitter on Go SMS Pro. Are you sure its that app? Or maybe its just the twitter app? You can't turn off the twitter app from picking up new tweets unless you actually log out of from it or disable automatic refresh of tweets.

Thanks, I went into my twitter app and unchecked where it said "Sync Data", I'm not sure if that will do it or not but I guess we'll see.

Well, unchecking the "sync data" switch didn't do the trick, still getting the tweets coming in on GoSMSpro. I hate to turn off the regular Twitter app but it looks like that might be my next choice.

That would have been my first consideration... But can't you activate and deactivate monitoring individual tweet sources in the Twitter app?

Sync data on Twitter means syncing contact twitter data to contacts on phone AFAIK.

You mean you are receiving tweets in the GoSMS app itself?

Ok, thanks for the hint Sommelier, I logged into my Twitter account on the computer and found that each follower has an option with it to enable/disable mobile notifications. I don't have many as I'm not a big Twitter fan but my grandson was the only one that was coming into GoSMSpro when he would tweet me. I checked my other followers and he was the only one that had that option 'enabled' so I hope that disabling it might take care of it.

Is it possible that you have twitter setup to text you?
I don't believe go sms has a direct twitter connection.
