Heads up: Refurb Captivate for Free at ATT.com with 2 year

Just saw over at ATT that they have refurb Captivates for free with a 2 year sub.

If it's worth it, I'm not sure. But there is a chance a lot of the units exchanged or returned coupld be working fine. Some might not. But if someone wants to take a chance, $0 is a nice price.

Keep in mind, it only has a 90 day warranty.

As i said in another thread, a friend has a refurb captivate and it works
fine with no obvious issues

and actually his GPS works compared to mine lol

The first Captivate I had actually didn't have any GPS problems. I should have held on to that phone, but thought Samsung would never upgrade to 2.2. I have an iPhone 4 right now, but I can't even be inside my house and keep a conversation going without the proximity sensor kicking back on, or the call dropping. I never had these problems with my 3Gs, or the Captivate. I have to be able to use the phone first and foremost as a phone, and then secondly as an entertainment device

It also requires a new activation. So, this is not available to current customers. I have not logged on to premier yet to check though. It's probably there but may not be free.

My friend just added a second line to his account and got the captivate
and turned the plan into a family plan(they are the only ones who use the at &t acct)
so there is an option

which also educated me on the fact of how my friend was able to get a refurb iphone 4
and sell it for like 400 bucks to someone
and recoup over 250 bucks.....

I got a refurbie once a couple years ago, it worked great and looked new...

Kind of like a kick in the shins. I ordered my refurb Captivate Tuesday evening and got it Friday. Went to look at cases at AT&T and noticed they dropped the price from $49 on Tuesday to $0 yesterday. Almost makes me want to call and gripe.

But I am loving my very first smartphone!!
