htc desire upgrade to 2.2 on orange uk

There are lots of posts on the net saying that it should be happening shortly but no sign yet, has anyone got any news?

I think they said it should take about 4 weeks for them to ruin 2.2, that was about 3 weeks ago.

Everything from oj to be taken with pinch of salt.

I spoke to a rep from HTC on Thursday 26th August. The rep told me that Orange UK have had the 2.2 update for quite some time. HTC released the update to Orange according to the HTC rep a few weeks ago. The rep said that Orange are probably putting its own tweaks to the update. I asked HTC about the update as part of a satisfaction survey on their website and THEY call me back, brilliant! Thats what I call customer service. Orange on the other hand....... been asking them the same question for some time now and surprise, surprise........ not a single response or comment.
