HTC Hero- Sprint user here

Hello all!

Well, I have Sprint, and a Hero. I'm for the most part happy with the phone, but sometimes it's so damn slow. I find if I install too many apps it starts force closing everything. I don't want to root yet, because I want to see if 2.1 has the fixes I need.

Anyone have any input there?

That is a common complaint with the Hero. I love mine but it it is slow at times.

It supposed to speed up with the Android 2.1. Many have rooted their phones and put on new rom that is suppose to help. I did that but it is a lot of work and I have not seen huge changes but others have.

Search forum for other helps. 2.1 is supposed to come out early Q2.
