Help HTC Wildfire just bought why won't it turn on?

Just got a HTC Wildfire today

Had half hour play with it Then switched off and plugged in to charge it

Charged it up till the green light lit (it still is lit)

Pressed the power switch on the top and nothing happened

What am I missing here

That sometimes happens.. just unplug the charger and remove the battery for about a minute or two then put it back in. That usually remedies that issue right away.

Thanks for answering But I am a novice here with smartphones and a bit wary to do that

The shop set up my email accounts etc on it and won't I lose them taking the battery out?

It worked thanks!
Now I need to learn to hit the correct keys on the keyboard and start enjoying my phone
No doubt I will be back with more questions lol

Just hope my phone switches back on in the morning lol
