yes the best thing to do is use your warranty and get a replacement, what causes this to happen varies, like have you drop your phone recently, but the screen didnt crack, could be defective when you first got the phone, or a little water or moister got under the screen somehow and got to the slot where the digitizer connects might been from phone getting heated up by being in a hot place or phone been overheating and cause it to sweat somehow.

If you could be more specific as to where you are going to use the phone,we might be able to answer your question more definitely.



However,most likely,the ASCEND will not work outside of the U.S.,as the majority of the World uses GSM networks,where the U.S.,& a few other countries use CDMA &/or GSM.
Since the ASCEND is not a dual CDMA/GSM phone(the ASCEND is of the CDMA variety),chances are it will not work wherever you are traveling to outside of the U.S.

Just to rule out the possibility,a call to CRICKET & HUAWEI wouldn't hurt,just to rule out the possibility,one way or the other.
