Help I can use the browser, but not log in my gmail account?

I just traded my sidekick LX 09 for the G1. I already called T-Mobile and told them about the plan and had it switched over to the G1 data plan. The problem is: I can use the browser (facebook, etc.) but I cant log into the market thing or check my gmail account. It says something about the SIM not being provisioned for data services. Should I wait it out or call T-Mobile again?
