My GF just broke the screen on her Ally, and we had to get her another one through Asurion. I need to put her old phone back to stock (the screen still works mostly). I looked at this guide here and did this to her phone before to do Velocity 1.1. Now what I am wondering is exactly what do I have to do to have it back to stock? Being on Velocity 1.1, I was going to run the fully automated script here: http://androidforums.com/ally-all-t...-3-2011-3-40-pm-est-now-easier-than-ever.html

What else do I have to do? Flash the stock recovery as seen here: http://androidforums.com/ally-all-things-root/183854-how-flash-stock-recovery.html

Is that it? Anything I left out? My DROID2 was easier to do this with as all I had to do was SBF and it was done and back to factory. Just trying to make sure I take all the necessary steps with the Ally before sending it back.

Thanks in advance!

I just had to do this about a week ago, I used this guide to return to stock from:

http://androidforums.com/ally-all-t...nteer-who-wants-go-back-completely-stock.html

Very simple, just use the recovery flashable stock froyo to get back to stock unrooted 2.2.1

Then I used the guide to flash stock recovery. I didn't notice the automated thing until I was done, its savoxis made so I imagine it's pretty legit. Pretty easy either way tho.

If you follow the 2.2.1 guide for root users you'll end up sending them a rooted froyo phone which they might not be too happy about.
