Help Market download problem question

Hi All

i know there has been some posts on this subject, but wanted to know if anyone else had solved the problem.

This morning i changed my email addy from googlemail to gmail, now i cant download from the market, i looked on the gmail help file and it says that gtalk wont work properly for 24 hours after you change the email addy, it says you need to put the phone in to airplane mode 24 hours after switching the email and then back to normal mode again, this should then work as normal.

i have also seen posts saying the the android market uses gtalk, so my question is, has anybody experienced this and fixed it without doing a factory reset or reverting back to googlemail??
