Help message app issue

Would any one have any idea on if its possible to reinstall stock messaging app.

Currently am having some issues with it in that it wont or cant access 10 digit numbers for certain contacts. For some contacts even thought the proper 10 digit numbers is entered in contact field messaging app only sees 7 digits so I get errors s back from boos mobile stating invalid number of digits

I don't and never have seen a setting that would change that, even on heavily modified messaging apps... try clearing cache and data for it in the app manager in settings

I'd did all that plus deleted contact ,restarted phone...etc everything I've tried doesn't work

I have been wrestling with this issue for some time now. But it's just one contact for me. I have done all the clearing cache, deleted and re-added the contact, with no luck. No solution yet, but it's not worth a hard reset...

Sounds like we are both experiencing similar problems. Myself it seems to be on 2 of my contacts. What I have done is to downloaded Handcent SMS messaging app. It doesn't seem to have the same issue and actually has some interesting features once you get used to them

Don't know when it started but just realized that the stock message app on recent text messages with in may be the past week or possibly from beginning of November if you, look at "View message details" it says "Sent 7pm, Dec 31,1969" !1???

Talking about messages from the past
