Help message sound notification missing

hi guys'

i've got no idea what happend but my htc desire hd has no sound anymore for the sms notification.it only vibrates 2 times short and that's it.no sound.i've checked all the settings for the sound and tey are all on.if anyone knows what's happening please let me know.thanx

did you check the sound settings in the messaging app

You can set the notification via the settings menu, and via the SMS app itself, is it set properly in both.

In the SMS app, hit menu -> Settings -> Notifications.
