Root Moving apk files to sdcard from internal memory

I have a rooted Nexus s phone. I have installed a terminal emulator on it. I wanted to know how can i move the apk files from /data/app folder to /sdcard folder. I can do it via adb after connecting to the computer but i would like to know if it is possible just to do that via terminal emulator directly on the phone.

Right now if i try to move using mv command i get an error

failed cross-device link

Any help would be highly appreciated.
