New Swype update

For those who use Swype beta as I do....there have been problems with the last update. Just today Swype released a new update and it seems to have fixed the 2 major problem I had. Download the update and give it a try.

That's odd. Mine alerted me of the update with a warning in the notification bar at the top of the screen.

When I started a new txt the first word of the first sentence I typed wasn't capitalized and if I needed to go back and correct a word when I clicked on the word and then on the Swype button the word would not highlight. Both seem to be working as they should now.

Same here...although when I type a word and the "&" it will still not put spaces in between automatically...looks like this "wrong&". If used to put spaces in a few updates back. And if the last thing I type is on the numbers screen on the keyboad...then I close that txt out...when I open up a new txt to reply the numbers kyboard comes up first...I have to swtich it back over to QWERTY keyboard to type letters....a lot of people complain about this on the Swype forums.

The only issue I have seen with this new version is that sometime when I finish a text and send, swype carries over the last word back into the compose text box.... It doesn't do it always, but it's a swype issue as if I use the normal keyboard, it works correctly...

Syype Beta version 1.1.1.7628 which is the latest version.

You need to delete Swype and the Swype Installer from your phone & then download the latest version of both.

I did that today and still have the same version 1.1.1.7628.

I can not find version 3.26.92.35381 you are talking about.

The version you have is the most recent version....so your good to go.

I'm running v 3.26.92D.35381.t0 because the one I tried after that, the first since being aquired by Nuance, didn't allow you to delete whole words when you long pressed the backspace button. That is one of the best features of Swype.

I saw a bunch of angry posts on the forums about this. Have they changed it back?
