No GPRS/3G

Don't know how to start , so here goes. I got my Desire a few days ago and have been slowly playing around with it. Any way whilst messing about on the internet I have noticed that I don't have a "G" "3G" indicator for my connection . I only have a "H".

Which is best...is one better than the other? I had a Nokia E71 and was more or less always connected via "3G".

I haven't changed networks, still with 3.

Any ideas?

H is HSDPA (I think)

It's the fastest connection.

I thought that at the start as well, had the H showing up it thought I had a crap connection until I found out on here.

I mainly get the H symbol and rarely see a 3g one so i am glad to hear that HSDPA is actually an enhanced 3g service,3.5g in fact.
