I understand. We locked the thread, not for disciplinary reasons, but to give folks a chance to read Rob's offer to help.

True. The Ducks are definitely a second half team. And this touchdown +2 pt conversion put them right back in the game. USC, even though un-ranked, have been tough this year.

And to keep it on topic... Watching a Duck game is often as stressful as waiting for the SGN release date! :p

Turning cloaking device off... First, thanks to everyone for an informative and entertaining (very!) thread - I've been F5-ing a lot this last couple of weeks, and I just figured I'd throw my two cents in rather than leeching off everybody else.

I'm very much on the fence at the moment. I've been jonesing hard for the Nexus for months, nursing my three year-old Omnia to try and make it till the blessed day, but my patience is wearing thin. It's isn't the delays so much - though they're a huge issue - but the lack of any concrete information whatsoever from Verizon that's ticking me off.

Thing is, I think the Rezound is a very nice phone - nicer than the RAZR, which just feels odd in my hand and in my view has a mediocre display. Intellectually I knew that the Rezound was just a phone, but there was so much talk about the size that I guess I was subconsciously expecting it to be like a car battery, and was pleasantly surprised at how well it fit the hand, and the overall feel of the device. It's not perfect, obviously - and while I can live without ICS for a couple of months, the bigger drawback for me is that even with ICS in 2012, it'll still have a Sense overlay.

But it's available now - and that matters. We really have no clue about the Nexus, no matter what the rumors say. I don't want to rent the Rezound and put another $35 in Big Red's pocket, not to mention that I'll lose the "New Every Two" discount I used on it, and have to pay the difference when I return it. So if I go Rezound, it'll be with the honest intention of keeping it (subject to change, of course). If I really thought Verizon was going to charge $299 for a 16GB Nexus, it'd be easy - I'd jump on the Rezound right now. But I don't think that's going to happen - though Verizon has disappointed me at every turn with this release so who knows. As for leaving Verizon, that's really not an option - I get a nice discount through my employer and I'm grandfather for unlimited data, not to mention they have the best network in this area.

So anyway, that's my dilemma, which I suspect a lot of folks are facing. I'll certainly give it a few more business days, but if Verizon still doesn't give us any definitive information - either on the release date of the internal storage - I'll probably jump on the HTC. I hate to do it, because Verizon is making it clear they want me to - they're obviously not interested in selling the Nexus. Which really makes you wonder why they agreed to in the first place.

Just a question. Won't Verizon offer all the accessories you need once the phone is released? Cases, docks etc? Is there a reason everyone is buying them on ebay and other places ahead of time? Is it just that they'll be cheaper or that we're thinking Verizon won't have Nexus accessories once it's released? There have been several mentions of accessories shipping to stores. Plus I keep getting advertisements saying Verizon offers 20%/30% discounts when you buy 3/5 accessories (respectively) at once.

salizai01 - that part about the phone releasing with a beta version of the Ice Cream Sandwich revision of the Android operating system was absolute, complete, and total malarky.

Verizon accessories are over priced and there are plenty of good accessory brands which don't sell their products in the VZW stores. People just like other options better sometimes. I think some people are buying them now out of excitement and wanting a goody to hold hen over till release.

Many users have reported stores have accessories already. I visited a corporate VZW store today and saw multiple myheld when I asked a rep. Two cases and a holster. One is purple so Im happy!

Pretty big slow motion close up of the Verizon logo towards the end.

If they are consistently using micro-USB, I will not mind. Having to keep multiple chargers for a series of phones is annoying: my window sill has two chargers, one for my old Motorola and one for my work BB. Multiple chargers is also wasteful. Unless the manufacturers give us junk, they last longer than the phones, and then the accumulate. I will be happy to be rid of them.

So my husband and I were/are planning to switch to Verizon for the nexus. We are currently on ATT. We'd like to have better network coverage and the nexus, so it seemed like a win win. I just read about the double data deal, and I know it's going to expire before the nexus comes out. I'm really not into this whole, "rent a razr/rezound" thing because it just seems wrong, but I'm wondering if we'd be silly not to do it for the double data... thoughts?

I can't ever help but wonder which corners were cut in the ReZound to hit the price point and still include Dre's headphones and royalty payment.
