Panda Home2 No count next to icons

Ok this may be a silly question, but I have a Sprint Hero and have installed Panda Home 2. I have it all set up the way I want but whenever I get messages or email, there is no number indicator next to the corresponding icons. I get the notification up top but none on the actual icons. Is this Panda Home, the theme I am using, or something I just have not set. (This was never a problem before I installed this)
