Ill cut to the chase. I plug my phone in and it says its charging, but the battery level still goes down. I unplug it and it doesn't still say it charging. I can still connect to my computer but the phone wont charge at all. Ive switched batteries out from my wifes phone, and Ive been using her phone to charge my battery. Any idea on whats going on?

My phone is rooted, but running stock 2.3.6 with link2sd installed.

If you unplug it and still says it's charging its the microusb port on your phone.
Try blowing in the port and also VERY gently try lifting the little "tongue" with a toothpick or very small screwdriver... If you pick the screwdriver make sure the battery is pulled out of the phone.
    Remember be very gentle.

It doesnt still say charging when i unplug it. It acts normal in every way except that the battery level goes down when charging rather than up.

This started to happen to me before my phone just stopped charging period. So ot's most likely the usb port on your phone.

I Had the same problem. It stopped charging completely an then I tried a few days later I hooked it up to my charger an it said it was charging an i was soo relieved but then It would charge. It would say it did but the battery life did keep going down. So I tried plugging it in on the computer an it didn't work soo I re installed an updated the phone drivers an it finally had started charging right on my phone. But not on my regular charger which was weird.. So I used a toothpick an gently rubbed it inside the charging hole an then blew in it an let it sit an 2 days later it works fine :)
