Well, short and sweet I removed the nextheme status bar from the phone and I have it back to the generic white one. Last thing I have to do is restore all the icons that came with nextheme to the original ones. Anyone know how to do this?

See I would like to be able to update to froyo, and I feel I am eventually going to go up to the verizon store and show them my failed update problem. I want to be able to say that ive never rooted it or done anything like that, but if I have modded icons that would just prove me wrong.

I just noticed that the method you linked involves using the boot strap or whatever its called. Is this the same thing as flashing to a sbf? I tried to update to froyo and failed, will doing this universal theme remover brick my phone like it did to the people who flashed 2.1 and then tried to update to froyo?

no its totally different than a sbf, but as long as you don't have the OTA froyo you can sbf very easily, and it will remove root

I dont have 2.2, but I tried to update and it failed. Would flashing the sbf still brick my phone?

Now that I have the bootstrap tho, I realized there was an option to wipe all data. Would this allow me to upgrade to 2.2?
